Step 1: Writing your article.
Your article can be on absolutely any topic involving Magic: The Gathering that you wish. Keep in mind, however,
that one of your primary judges will be other AnyCraze.com members, so it should be written to appeal to the masses. Here
are some of the major rules to keep in mind while you're writing your article.
1. Proper grammar and spelling are imperative. Any article that is poorly written will NOT be approved.
2. Do not use slang or abbreviations in your article. Magic Cards should always be capitalized and spelled out completely.
3. Proper formatting is a big plus. The more time we have to spend making your article readable, the less likely it is that
it will make it to the contest. Do NOT use any special formatting in your article. No tables, divs, embedded objects,
or anything of that nature. Keep it limited to fonts, links, and page breaks for your formatting needs. Linking any reference to a
magic card to its appropriate AnyCraze.com page is a HUGE plus. For example, instead of just typing Black Lotus, find the
appropriate URL on our site and link to Black Lotus. This saves the
AnyCraze.com staff a lot of time and will be greatly appreciated.
Step 2: Submitting your article.
After you're happy with your article, you need to find a way to get it to us. All article submission options are available on the
article submission page. If it's already HTML formatted, you may use the form to submit your article directly to
the AnyCraze.com site. This is the preferred method, but ONLY if its HTML formatted. Please do NOT submit a huge text blob,
with no formatting what so ever. It will be an uphill battle to get published in the contest in that event. The alternative is a properly
formatted word document, which you may email to articles@anycraze.com. NOTE: If you email your article, please include your customer account # in the email. You may locate this number by clicking on the 'Your Account' link at the top of the site.
Again, please keep in mind, the more time you spend making your article look presentable, the better your chances are of winning the contest.
Step 3: The Contest.
After you submit your article, it will need to be reviewed by our staff to make sure it is appropriate to publish, and to make any necessary changes to either
the formatting or the wording. Once it is approved, you are officially entered in the contest for the following week.
Here's the general timeline for the weekly contest:
| Wed. 12:00am pst | - The deadline for articles to be received. |
| Wed. 12:00pm pst | - The contest begins. |
| Tue. 11:59pm pst | - The contest ends. |
| Wed. 12:00pm pst | - The winner of the contest is announced, the $50 prize is awarded, and next weeks contest begins. |
Step 4: The aftermath.
After the contest is over your article will move on to the article archives where it will be able to be viewed, rated, and commented on by fellow
AnyCraze.com members for all time.
Contest specifics and other legal matters.
1. You must be an AnyCraze.com member to enter this contest.
2. You may enter as many articles as you wish into the contest.
3. The winner of the weekly contest will be determined partially by AnyCraze.com staff members, and partially by the article ratings and reviews by your fellow
AnyCraze.com members. For this reason, all comments and ratings will be kept secret during the contest week. They will, however be viewable after the contest is over.
4. Although AnyCraze member ratings and reviews factor in our selection of the winning article, they are not the sole basis for our selection. The article with the highest rating may not always win.
AnyCraze is solely responsible for the selection of the winner regardless of the circumstances. All decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
5. In order to be the recipient of the $50 dollar prize, your article must be exclusive to AnyCraze.com. Every week before the prize is awarded we will check thoroughly to make sure
you haven't submitted it to another site. In the event that it has been submitted to another site, you will forfeit your prize, and it will be awarded to the second place finisher.
6. Prize winners will have the option of receiving a $50 dollar store credit, or being mailed a check from AnyCraze.com.
7. We reserve the right to alter and use any material you submit as we see fit.
8. We reserve the right to change any contest dates, rules, or prizes at any time without notice, reason, or obligation to any past, present, or future contest winners.
